MultiCat Machines for Commercial Yards

Warehouses, transport depots, timber yards, recycling centres, building supply outlets, and industrial storage facilities all share the same challenge: keeping materials moving efficiently through the yard, every day, without blowing the equipment budget.

MultiCat compact machines are built for exactly this environment. Compact enough to navigate tight loading bays and narrow aisles, powerful enough to handle serious loads, and versatile enough to switch between loading, stacking, sweeping, and lifting throughout the day.

Loading and Material Handling

The manual adjust forks turn your MultiCat wheel loader into a capable yard forklift. Handle pallets of product, building materials, steel, timber bundles, and general freight without needing a dedicated forklift for every task.

For operations that need dedicated forklift capability, the MultiCat ATF300 3-Ton All-Terrain Forklift delivers 3,000 kg capacity with a 5m three-stage mast, 4x4 traction, and pivot steering. It handles rough yard surfaces, gravel, grass, and uneven ground that traditional warehouse forklifts cannot manage.

The LX250T Telescopic Wheel Loader adds 5.2m reach for loading trucks from the side, stacking materials at height, and positioning heavy items without a crane or elevated platform.

Yard Cleanup and Maintenance

A clean, organised yard runs more efficiently and makes a better impression on customers and suppliers. The broom sweeper attachment keeps concrete pads, loading areas, and workshop floors clean. It handles dust, debris, gravel overspill, and general buildup quickly.

The 4-in-1 bucket handles everything else: shifting stockpiles, grading gravel areas, cleaning up spills, and general material movement that keeps the yard turning over.

Why Compact Machines Win in Yard Environments

Commercial yards are tight. Loading bays have limited space. Aisles between stock are narrow. Trucks need room to manoeuvre in and out. A full-size loader or forklift can struggle in these environments.

The LX100 at 1.6m wide navigates tight spaces with ease. Its 3m turning radius handles three-point turns in areas where larger machines would need to reverse out. And at 2,000 kg tare weight, it is light enough for surfaces that would be damaged by heavier equipment, while still lifting 1,000 kg with stability.

Multiple Roles, One Machine

In a typical commercial yard, a MultiCat might start the morning loading pallets onto a delivery truck using forks. Mid-morning, swap to the bucket for shifting a stockpile of aggregate. After lunch, fit the broom sweeper for a yard cleanup before a client visit. End of the day, back to forks for unloading an inbound shipment.

That is four different roles, one machine, one operator, zero hire costs. Multiply that across a week and the efficiency gains are significant.

Cost Effective for Yard Operations

Many commercial yards lease or hire forklifts at substantial monthly cost. Owning a MultiCat with the right attachments, starting from $25,990+GST for the LX100 and with Finance NZ options available, often works out cheaper than ongoing hire agreements while giving you more flexibility.
